Independence Patriots


Shai Wheeler – The senior with just 7 quarters under his belt at quarterback has accumulated 490 yards of total all purpose offense. He has passed for 209 yards, rushed for 206 yards, and returned a kick-off 75 yards for the Patriots. He also scored 2 touchdowns and two 2-point conversions against the Wildcats.

Brevin Caldwell – The junior wide receiver accumulated 83 yards in total offense against the Wildcats. He rushed for 38 yards, had 45 yards in receptions and scored two touchdowns.

Davion Nelson – The workhorse punishing running back for the Patriots had 59 yards rushing and scored two touchdowns inside the red zone close to the goal line to pound both scores into the end zone.

Honorable Mention: Patriots Defense who shut-out the Wildcats. Taejuan Smith would pick up a fumble and rumble for an 18 yard touchdown. Omar Zazueta had a pass interception to stop a drive, while Tyson Clawson, Sirr Robinson and Ethan Safriet put tremendous pass pressure on the Wildcat quarterback all night long.

Rocky River Ravens: 


Kahlib Jennings – The swift and nifty junior running back rushed for 106 yards on 25 carries for the Ravens against the Pirates from Porter Ridge.

Korey Hailey – The senior quarterback passed for 142 yards completing 11 of 23 passes with one touchdown pass and scored on a 2-point conversion.

Antjuan Collins – The senior wide receive caught 5 passes for 70 yards on Friday night against the Pirates.

Sinceer Scott – The wide receiver had two big catches for huge first downs for a total of 31 yards during the Ravens touchdown drives to keep the football matriculating downfield.

Honorable Mention: The stout defense of the Ravens continues to play well. The teams leading tackler Brian Grier had 10 tackles during the game, Kahil Alexander and Jaquan Scott both had 8 tackles, and Zyier McCall was credited with 3 tackles, 1 sack and fumble recovery.

Queens Grant High School 


Micah Parker – The senior midfielder leads the Stallions in scoring with 21 goals and 2 assists for 44 points in 21 games played. In a recent match he scored 2 goals and had 1 assist for 5 points against Corvian Community School.

Carlos Resillas – The junior in 19 games has scored 9 goals with a team leading 15 assists for a total of 33 points on the season. The Stallion scored 3 goals and added 2 more assists in a blowout win scoring 8 points and achieving the elusive hat trick.
