UNION COUNTY, NC – The Humane Society of Union County is pleased to present John Henry!

“John Henry is a four-year-old lab mix fellow weighing in at 68 lbs who is looking for his forever home! Although he was a little shy when he first came to us, John Henry has gotten more and more confident each day and has done a fantastic job of coming out of his shell. Once you gain his trust, he loves nothing more than cuddling up with you in your lap for some scratches! He is a well-mannered boy who knows basic commands such as “Sit” and “Shake.” His favorite pastime is playing fetch, and he will spend all day chasing after his favorite tennis ball! We are unsure of how he does with cats, but John Henry has done well with the dogs that we have introduced him to and would do best with a slow introduction to a new doggie brother or sister. He would also love a doggie sibling that loves to play and can match his energy level!”
