Wilson Grove Senior Living opened in mid-February and its staff looks forward to helping people feel at home.

The new facility can be found at 7020 Wilson Grove Road in Mint Hill.

The current location can hold a maximum of six residents though additional buildings are being planned in the future.

“We want one-on-one kind of care,” K.C. Iwuji, administrator of Wilson Grove Senior Living, said.

The one-on-one care the senior living is focused on helps prevent the facility from becoming too crowded and allows staff to offer residents more of a homelike atmosphere where they can feel comfortable. The business offers medication management, an on-call nurse, activities for residents and more.

“Our goal is to open about three (senior living facilities) in Mint Hill,” Iwuji said.

She has lived in the Mint Hill area since 2012 and felt a new home-style senior living facility was needed in the area. She has worked in the healthcare field for more than 10 years, Iwuji said.

“It’s more like you’re living in your home,” she said when describing Wilson Grove Senior Living.

The facility is staffed 24 hours a day and focuses on top-notch quality care, according to a Wilson Grove Senior Living flyer.

Prices vary depending on the needs of residents but and residents have a choice of furnished room to move into at the facility, Iwuji said.
