Mint Hill is excited to welcome Foxx Contracting to the business community.
Foxx contracting is owned and operated by Greg Foxx and Scott Fandel, who boast a combined forty-six years experience in general commercial contracting, construction management and project management. The company focuses primarily on interior uplifts and ground up buildings under 20,000 square feet. “We’re a full service commercial general contractor,” says Fandel. “We do out of the ground buildings, interior renovation, and design build work.”
The founding partners both grew up in the contracting business and worked together at a large corporation for many years before teaming up for Foxx Contracting. For Fandel, part of the challenge and appeal of joining forces with Foxx was that it enabled him to take a more hand-on role in projects. “I was in more of an executive role,” says Fandel. “Now I’m more involved in day-to-day construction, which is what I enjoy doing.”
In business since 2003, Foxx Contracting recently relocated from its location in Harrisburg to Morris Park in Mint Hill. It was a welcome change for Fandel, who has lived in Mint Hill since 2002. The move also made sense as the company’s work load had shifted more toward the southeastern region of Charlotte.
Over the years they’ve been in business, Foxx Contracting has completed many retail, office, restaurant, faith-based, industrial, medical office, dental, movie theater and veterinary hospital project. They’re the company behind Sycamore Animal Clinic in downtown Mint Hill. They’ve completed two major renovations at Brace YMCA in Matthews and recently completed work on the Lamborghini dealership on Independence.
“Currently we’re up in Davidson at an old building,” says Fandel. “The building was built in the 40s; we’re doing an interior renovation. For me, I’ve always been a builder. That’s what I like to do. My hobby is doing home renovation to my house, so I’m constantly doing something that involves building.”
If you’re a business in need of a contractor for new construction, a renovation, or design-build work, Foxx Contracting is your local connection. “We’re more than just a contractor that has their office in Mint Hill,” says Fandel. “We’re involved in Mint Hill. My children have come up through Bain and on through Mint Hill Middle and Independence High School, so we’re part of the community.”
