Toya and Earnest White celebrated the grand opening of Clean Juice in the Sycamore Commons shopping center on Feb. 24.

The business, which is at 2225-H Matthews Township Parkway, offers a variety of healthy and organic drink options and more to its customers.

The Sycamore Commons location is the second Clean Juice location Toya and Earnest White own. The couple also owns the one at Northlake Mall.

“I just really wanted to impact the community with something healthy and organic,” Toya White said while discussing what made them want to open a location in Matthews.

They felt Matthews was a good place to be in and that a location there would benefit local residents since the next closest Clean Juice location is on Rea Road in Charlotte, Toya White said.

The grand opening featured special offers, raffles and a balloon artist who made balloon animals for children. The event ran from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and crowds flocked to the business throughout the day.

“It’s very tasty. I was surprised by how much I got,” Zoe Durden, a Matthews resident who tried one of the business’ bowl options, said.

Menu items at Clean Juice include smoothies, bowls featuring a mixture of fruit, granola and more.

“We definitely are happy with the turnout,” Earnest White said about the attendees of the store’s grand opening.

He added that they look forward to continuing to serve the community with the menu options they offer.

Along with members of the public, Clean Juice staff also seemed happy to have the business now in the area.

“I just really like the brand and what Clean Juice stands for,” Brittany McGuire, general manager of the newly opened location, said.

Additional information about Clean Juice can be found at www.cleanjuicebar.com or by contacting the new Sycamore Commons location by calling 704-321-2828.

“We are here for Matthews and Mint Hill and we just hope everyone comes out to see us,” Toya White said.
