What Exactly Is CBD?

MINT HILL, NC – While most people have probably heard the term “CBD”, many people are still confused as to exactly what it is. CBD is short for cannabidiol, and it’s one of the many chemical compounds or cannabinoids found in cannabis plants. However, while cannabis is usually associated with the psychoactive effects of THC (the cannabinoid that gets you high), CBD is completely non-psychoactive.

CBD works differently from THC. While it won’t make you high, it interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system in other ways. It’s now seen as an excellent alternative to regular cannabis products, especially as it’s safe, non-psychoactive, and you can use legal CBD products even in states where cannabis is illegal.

The best way to use CBD is with hemp-based CBD products. These contain natural cannabidiol extracted from hemp with only trace levels of THC. As such, they won’t make you high nor will they make you fail a drug test. Many types of hemp-based CBD products are available, including CBD Tinctures, Edibles, and Concentrates. However, one of the most interesting options to consider is CBD Bath Products.
