Mint Hill library manager is happy to help

According to a recent Mint Hill Library newsletter, it was some 62 years ago that Mint Hill’s only means of free reading was by means of a book mobile that came to town every Friday for one hour. A decade later the library occupied a small store front near downtown Mint Hill. Finally in May of 1999 the library opened its doors at its current location.
Almost 16 years later the 12,000-square-foot building is home to some 17,500 items. And there is more to come.
Since 2010 Mark Engelbrecht has served as the Mint Hill Library Branch Manager.
“I came to the Mint Hill Branch Library as the interim manager during a budget crisis,” explained Engelbrecht. “The position was formalized in the fall of 2010 and I was given the title of Location Manager.”  […]
