Heidi Pruess, the Community Plan and Sustainability Officer for Mecklenburg County, and Barry Gullett, the Director of Charlotte Mecklenburg Utilities, made lengthy presentations to the Mint Hill Board of Commissioners at their meeting on Thursday, Feb. 10.
Gullet presented a plan for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Utilities to transition its name into Charlotte Water.
“We want to promote a better image of drinking water,” he said. “Charlotte Water will incorporate ground and drinking water and we want to make the name change, but we will not be wasteful. When we order new materials we will use Charlotte Water and you will soon see Charlotte Water trucks around and people wearing uniforms with the new logo.”
