Head out to Mint Hill Park on Wilgrove for the 11th annual Sunday Afternoon in the Park on August 23. The event supports the town’s thriving, multifaceted art community by shining a spotlight on local artists.

“Residents and visitors should attend to peruse the variety of artists and enjoy a pleasant afternoon in the shade of large oak trees at a family friendly event,” said Commissioner Tina Ross. “We currently have over 35 vendors offering woodblock art, pottery, jewelry, mosaics, fiber arts, abstract photography, acrylic paintings and much more.”

Children and adults alike will have the opportunity to interact with the local artists and purchase handmade work.  […]

Sunday Afternoon in the Park draws in over 40 artists

About 40 local artists are gathering again this August for Sunday Afternoon in the Park.  Sunday, August 26 from 1 – 6 pm, Mint Hill residents are invited to join local painters, woodcarvers, textile artists, and more to celebrate local art and have a good time at the Park on Wilgrove.  Admission is free.
