Vandals cause nearly $12K in damage at Pine Lake

Mint Hill Police responded to Pine Lake Country Club on a call of breaking and entering and damage to property the morning of November 6.

Approximately 20 golf carts had been removed from the barn where they are stored and damaged. Apparently, the suspects removed each golf cart, taking them onto the golf course, driving them recklessly, and returning the significantly damaged golf carts back to the barn.

Approximately $10,000 of damage was done to the 20 golf carts, $1,000 of damage to the landscaping of the golf course, and $800 to the cart storage barn. All golf carts are accounted for.

Anyone with information should contact the Mint Hill Police Department at 704-545-1085, and ask to speak with Detective Lezette.
