Shredding service convenient for citizens

CINTAS Document Management employee Jose Sosa helps residents unload documents and shred them at the semi-annual shredding services provided by Mint Hill Chamber of Commerce and the Mint Hill Police Department.

The Mint Hill Police Department and the Mint Hill Chamber of Commerce hosted a document shredding event in the parking lot of Fifth Third Bank on Saturday, April 12. This semi-annual service is provided free of charge as a way to encourage citizens to destroy documents containing personal information that could be used by criminals intent on committing identity theft.

CINTAS Document Management was on site with two trucks to immediately shred the documents. The shredded paper will later be recycled into secondary paper products such as paper towels and tissue.

By 10:15 am Saturday, over 6,000 pounds of paper had already been shredded, and the line for dropping off paper was steady and stretched around the building. Continue reading
