Going to tonight’s Board of Education meeting? Better bring a snack

A few months ago, when the Mint Hill high school boundaries were being decided, more than 30 people signed up to speak during public comments. At tonight’s meeting, there are 66 signed up to speak regarding the Myers Park school boundaries. There are also 12 people signed up to speak during the “Requests from the Public” portion of the meeting, most of whom are from Mint Hill. Julie Parsons, who has spearheaded the effort to grandfather students into the high schools as the boundaries shift in the next two years, sent the Mint Hill Times a copy of her speech she will present to the Board.
