Mint Hill Chamber hears hospital update

At the monthly Mint Hill Chamber of Commerce member luncheon, members were updated on the progress of the Novant Hospital construction. 
The guest speaker was Mike Riley, President of Novant Health Charlotte Orthopedic Hospital. He  will head up development and construction of the Novant Health Mint Hill Medical Center. Riley will also be hospital administrator at the new location just outside Mint Hill town limits. 
“Mint Hill is a tremendous place to be,” Riley told Chamber members. “It is a growth center.” 
Before offering an update on development and  actual construction of the new hospital, Riley offered an overview of Novant Health Systems.

New Mint Hill Publix store creates community impact

New Mint Hill Park Plan Move Forward

The Board of Commissioners voted to annex the property at 9801 Brief Road at its board meeting January 8. This property has been designated as the future site of a new public park for the town. Annexation of that land simply brings the land officially inside town limits.
The town purchased the land last fall after receiving a matching grant of $335,000 from the Parks and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF).
