Breaking news: huge pot bust in downtown Mint Hill

If you drove on Lawyers Road today you may have noticed the commotion at the house between Nelson Road and Hwy 51. Police Chief Tim Ledford said tonight they discovered 300 plus pot plants growing inside in what Ledford termed as a “well organized growing operation.”

Update on recent home invasions: Police have better idea of the suspect’s car

On Monday and Tuesday there were home invasions in the Danbrook Park and Olde Sycamore subdivisions. Police think suspect is responsible for both and now have a better idea of what kind of car he was driving. Purse snatched at Earp’s BP in Mint Hill

Mint Hill Police responded to Earp’s BP located at 7020 Brighton Park Drive last Wednesday at  3 pm in reference to a larceny of purse from vehicle in the parking lot. Security cameras at the gas station show the suspect as being a white female, with brown hair worn in a ponytail, approximately 35-40 years of age. The suspect is seen exiting a silver in color SUV type vehicle in the parking lot.
