Finally, the rain stopped and the sun is out at Mint Hill Madness. Today’s music includes pianist David Roach (1-2 pm), Steve Hicks Trio (2:30-3:30 pm) and the gospel sounds of Serenity (4-5 pm).
Yesterday, the show went on despite a few mud puddles. Take a walk through Saturday’s Madness:
[singlepic=178,320,240,,center]Five minutes before the parade began, the rain stopped. What timing! So the parade marched up Matthews-Mint Hill Road without a hitch and the spectator turn-out was a lot more than expected considering the damp day. Now it’s on to Fairview Park for the festival.
At 9:30 am, the parade is about 20 minutes away from beginning. It might be drizzling a bit, but the show goes on!
