Jameson Knight was in the Army for five and a half years and served in Afghanistan. While he is now back home with his wife Rebecca and three children, he still strives to impact the lives of others.
Knight plans to climb Mount Rainier in Washington in May of 2016 to raise money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to fund research into the disease. The funds will be donated in honor of his mother-in-law Marie Russell, who was diagnosed with MS 10 years ago.
“I knew it would hold me more accountable if I do it for a purpose,” Knight said. Russell is now in remission from MS and has been symptom-free for years after participating in a clinical trial for a new medication. “She could have had a very different outcome if it weren’t for all of the research that has gone into treatments,” Rebecca said.
