On Thursday night at the Grady Cole Center the Independence Patriots scored another 

conference victory 79-60 over the Porter Ridge Pirates.
Deion Lane and Tayon Gleaves paced the Patriots offensively scoring a combined 44
points on the night.  Deion poured in 23 points grabbed 12 rebounds and recorded his
13th double-double this year hitting 8-of-13 from the field with a three-pointer and going
6-of-9 from the line. Deion finished the night with 4 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocked shots.
Tayon Gleaves also had a big night with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. He was
 5-of-12 from the floor with two three-pointers and 9-of-10 at the foul line. Defensively
Tayon blocked 1 shot and played a tough defensive game the entire night guarding
Porter Ridge’s leading scorer. 
Workpeh Kofa and Junior Bowen made it four Independence players with double figures
scores with 10 points each.
As a team, the Patriots shot 44%, hitting 24-of-54 overall including 6 three-pointers and
25-for-34 from the charity stripe.
