Rocky River High’s First Annual Raven Fest was held on Thursday, October 31, from 12:30-2:05 pm. The school’s student government sponsored the event as a way to celebrate their achievements and share their school spirit.
“We wanted to celebrate our students and our successes,” says Assistant Principal Quintin Chiles. “This is the first year all of our students are Ravens; from freshmen to seniors.”
The outdoor celebration included music provided by the school band, booths displays from various school clubs, food, games, and prizes.
“We have so much to celebrate,” says math teacher Amy Regan, “Our football team is 10th in the state, we had a 90 percent graduation rate last year, our students placed first in the Special Olympics, and our ROTC program is huge and highly rated.”
Rocky River High School is located at 10505 Clear Creek Commerce Drive in Mint Hill. The school first opened in August, 2010, and students welcomed the opportunity to share their school spirit as a unified student body.
