Christmas Party

Tree lighting

The Town of Mint Hill will be hosting its annual tree lighting and open house December 2. Open house will be from 3- 5:30 pm, and the tree lighting will follow, at 5:45 pm.

Festival of Trees

Presbyterian Hospital in Matthews is presenting “Festival of Trees 2012” November 29, from 6-8 pm in the hospital lobby. The festival will feature live holiday music, hot cider, a silent auction, and Santa Claus.

Meeting moved

The town commission of Mint Hill have moved the normal November 8 meeting to November 15. The meeting will be in the new Town Hall, 4430 Mint Hill Village Lane.

Call for Artists

Mint Hill Arts is calling all artists to enter their annual December juried show, dedicated to longtime members Ann and Bill Litaker. Entry is open to all artist, members and non members. Civil War Lantern Tour

Christmas in New York

Christmas in New York, a benefit concert featuring Broadway star Franc D’Ambrosio, will take place Sunday, November 25, at 7 pm at St. John Neumann Church, 8451 Idlewild Road. D’Ambrosio is best known as the “Phantom” in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Tony Award-winning Musical, “The Phantom Of The Opera.” Affectionately known as “The Iron Man of The Mask,” he was awarded the distinction as the “World’s Longest Running Phantom.” This accomplishment was immortalized in a cemented hand ceremony and D’Ambrosio retained this title for more than a decade. Lyme Support Group

The Central North Carolina Chapter of the National Lyme Disease Association holds support group meet- ings the second Saturday of each month from 1-4 pm at Queens Grant High School, 10323 Idlewild Road, Matthews N.C. 28105.
