Bain, Independence unite to do good

Student councils from Independence High School and Bain Elementary School in Mint Hill teamed up for a community service project for Jeff Gordon Children’s Hospital and the Levine’s Children Hospital. Together they raised enough money to purchase more than 600 bears from Build a Bear to distribute to children in need. Continue reading

Lowe’s gives check to Queen’s Grant

The doors of Queen’s Grant High School opened in August of 2007 with 120 students in grades nine and ten. The property where the school is located was once a country  club, according to principal Dr. Michael Smith. There was a swimming pool that was filled in and it is there that Smith would like to see an outside courtyard. Continue reading

Mint Hill Commissioners hear from candidates
