Mayor Ted Biggers was sworn in for another term last Thursday.

Mint Hill Commissioners were sworn back in on December 8 at the monthly regular board of commissioners meeting. The election results were certified by the town clerk who also gave the oath of office to Mayor Ted Biggers. Lloyd Austin was elected as mayor pro tem. There were no changes to committee assignments.

In other matters 

Lee Anderson of New Life 91.9 radio in Matthews was approved to hold a 5K race following the Madness 5K route through Mint Hill as part of a fundraising drive for the station. She anticipates 500 people to be there on March 31 for the race which will cost $20 a head. The approval for the permit was contingent on receiving permission from NCDOT to close the streets affected, as well as the Mint Hill Police and Fire Department An alternate route could be used.
