This time it’s thieves hitting unfinished subdivisions. Last month, Mint Hill Police reported there was an uptick in people illegally dumping trash and vandalizing homes in unfinished neighborhoods in the town.

Now the police say they received notice from Time Warner Cable that 13 cable node boxes had been stolen from

various locations in Mint Hill. The cable node boxes are valued at $3,000. The boxes were stolen from two neighborhoods in Mint Hill which are still under development: Joli Cheval and Fairington Oaks Subdivisions, located off of Thompson Road.

Pictured below are the boxes in which the nodes are held. These nodes provide residences nearby with cable, internet and phone services through Time Warner Cable.

Officers are asking anyone with information to contact the police. Information can be given anonymously. Call Det. Sgt. Moberg at 704-545-1085.
