Police called to Stoney Glen Drive for a third time in a week

Mint Hill Police are reporting that another robbery took place on Stone Glen Drive. This is the third time in a week that Mint Hill Police were called to this street in response to a robbery or assault. On Monday at 2:30 pm, police were called to Stoney Glen Drive, the main road in the apartment complex on Margaret Wallace Road, for a robbery.

From the Mint Hill Police:

Victim stated that while unloading his vehicle, two black males approached him armed with handguns. One suspect patted the victim down, took a cellular telephone and removed his wallet from his back pocket. The other suspect held the victim at gunpoint. The victim was then told to start running away from them, which he did. Both suspects left on foot in an unknown direction.The victim stated the subjects were approximately 185lbs, medium builds, and 5’9” tall. No clothing description was given on either suspect.Officers circulated the area and were unable to locate the suspects. We are asking for assistance from the public to help identify the suspects.

  1. What is the apartment management doing about this recurring problem? They should have 24 hour security. Especially since this happened at 2:30 in the afternoon! A conceal carry permit would stop some of this nonsense.
