The veterans behind the North Carolina Korean War Memorial at the Mint Hill Park on Fairview are ready to place the granite sign. Workers recently prepared the spot where the sign will go and are now waiting for warmer weather so they can pour the concrete. Once that is completed, workers will move on to Phase 2 which will consist of most of the rest of the memorial.
