Mint Hill Police have been dispatched to a couple of calls involving a man in a suspicious vehicle in neighborhoods who was watching and taking photos of children. The following is the information received from dispatched calls to police:

On November 19, an officer spoke with spoke with someone who said her 6-year-old daughter was getting off the bus and a subject tried to persuade her to walk over to the subject’s truck. The mother witnessed the event and said her daughter ran away in tears. She described the truck as a 1990s model that is faded red in color. She described the subject as an older white man wearing an overall outfit. The incident occurred at the bus stop at the intersection of Minnie Lemmon and RavenTop. The officer was unable to locate vehicle.

On November 22, officers were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle call in the Versage neighborhood off Truelight Church Road. The complainant her daughter and two friends were walking on the roadside when a red truck pulled up to them and the driver (older white male with rusty grey hair and clean cut face) attempted to take photos of the young girls. Officers searched the area and were unable to locate a vehicle matching the description given.

Mint Hill Police are urging all residents as a precaution to be on the look out for this vehicle and subject and if located or seen to contact Mint Hill Police immediately.
