Mint Hill Police catch CBW armed robber

Keith Andrew Dow

The CBW Business Center at 9229 Lawyers Road in Mint Hill was held up at gun point last Saturday. It’s the second time this year the business has been robbed. However, this time Mint Hill Police, with the help of Charlotte Police Department were able to catch robber.

Mint Hill Police were dispatched to the call on Saturday around 10:30 am. Upon arrival to the business Mint Hill Police were told by employees that they were
robbed by a light skinned black male subject, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans armed with a silver handgun. He left the business with an undisclosed amount of money. Witnesses stated that the subject got into a blackĀ  colored Mazda and left in an unknown direction of travel.

This could have meant that police would have very few leads to work with. However, there was something else about this robber. Employees reported that he had been in the business an hour earlier and was a regular. He was wearing the same clothes during the robbery as he was earlier in the day. Employees identified him as Keith Andrew Mines, (DOB 12-24-1976). Mint Hill Police were able to obtain an arrest warrant on Keith Andrew Mines for Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon on this incident.

Two days later CMPD and MHPD arrested Keith Andrew Mines without incident and he is currently being held in the Mecklenburg County Jail on a $50,000
secured bond. Additional information obtained by Mint Hill Police found that Keith Andrew Mines is really Keith Andrew Dow and has been using the Mines name as an alias.

  1. MHPD is on a role. This guy gets caught, 7 students arrested for fighting, 3 kids arrested for breaking into cars. Great job officers!

  2. Yeah, they are doing a great job. But 2 people arrested for armed robbery have been arrested 6 times before. Why are they still out of jail. If Mecklenburg county would just keep armed criminals in jail.
