Three teens arrested for vehicle break-ins

Mint Hill Police have officially arrested three teens who were breaking into cars in the Wilson Woods and Oaks at Oxfordshire neighborhoods on September 10. The police originally caught the suspects riding in a golf cart early that morning and turned them over to their parents. The teens had broken into approximately 50 cars during that night.
The following is the information and charges on two of the subjects arrested, the other male is a juvenile and information will not be released:

Garrett Duncan (W-M-16):

32 Charges (1-Felony Conspiracy, 18 Breaking & Entering Motor Vehicle (Felony), and 13 Larceny (Misdemeanor)

Quaron Thomas (B-M-17):

32 Charges (1-Felony Conspiracy, 18 Breaking & Entering Motor Vehicle (Felony), and 13 Larceny (Misdemeanor).

Mint Hill resident a finalist in national recipe contest

Kim Hansen of Mint Hill wasn’t expecting much when she submitted an entry into an avocado recipe contest. Hansen, who describes herself as a blogger, web designer and mommy, learned recently that she’s in the top eight of the Haas Avocado The Big Hit Recipe Contest. Her recipe is for an Avocado and Tomato Cream Sauce. To vote for Kim’s recipe, click on this link. The winner gets $5,000.
