Rocky River, the $60 million high school, readies for business
With under a month to go before Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools begins the new year, Rocky River High School, the new, $60,000,000 school in Mint Hill, is busy with the final touches. WCNC takes a tour of the high school near Blair Road. For the first year, only 9-11 graders will attend, very few of whom will live in Mint Hill.

Mint Hill could have had some kids at the new school but heavens no cms could not split little johnny and little tommy up that have been at bain since first grade. with the new guidelines looks like mint hill kids will be split in the near future with half going to indy and half to rocky river. the new guidelines call for neighborhood schools (which means the school CLOSEST to the neighborhood and not where mommy and daddy want you to go)
“(which means the school CLOSEST to the neighborhood and not where mommy and daddy want you to go)” – Yes , which also means the kids who live a stone’s throw from Garinger High won’t need to be bussed all the way down to Mint Hill to go to Rocky River.
