Matthews Police are seeking information on the person who robbed Costco yesterday. At approximately 6 pm a black male entered the Costco, located at 2125 Matthews Township Parkway, and asked to see jewelry that was in a locked viewing case. As clerks assisted him the suspect pulled a gun from his pocket and threatened to harm the clerks if they not place jewelry in a bag. After the clerks placed jewelry in the bag the suspect fled the store.
Police need your assistance in identifying this person. He is described as a light skinned black male, 6-6’2”, thin build and 20 to 30 years old. He was last seen wearing a tan colored ball cap, a reddish collared shirt with a design on it, khaki colored cargo shorts, and dark colored shoes.
