Four students from the Queen’s Grant K-8 School recently competed against other Mecklenburg County School students in the Special Olympics bowling competition at Carolina Lanes. Each of the four students placed in competition. Elementary student Lyndsay Moore tied for a gold medal in the assisted bowling category, with Nikki Pfeuffer came in 4th place in the unassisted bowling category. Middle School 8th grader Trae Hodge received a gold medal in his division with a overall score of 193, which was the highest score out of all of the participants. Trae bowled an incredible five strikes. Anna Renegar 7th grader won a gold medal in her division.The Queen’s Grant Beta Club, along with their advisors Mimi Henderson (7th and 8th grade Social Students) and Christine Oakley (6th grade Language Arts), volunteered at the Special Olympics competition.
