It’s official: Monroe Hardware coming to Mint Hill

As we reported more than six months ago, Monroe Hardware will open a store in Mint Hill. The hardware company, which started in 1886, will move into the space that used to be occupied by Harris Teeter in the Mint Hill Festival shopping center. The store specializes in unique hardware items as well as power tools, feeds, and gardening supplies. One of the founders of the store was William Henry Belk, the founder of Belk Department Stores.
