Prepinsiders is reporting that Jason Fowler, offensive coordinator at East Meck., will be the first football coach of the Rocky River Ravens. Fowler’s new boss also happens to be his old boss: Mark Nixon left East Meck more than a year ago to become the first principal of the Mint Hill high school.
View Larger MapMembers of the Small Area Plan Advisory Committee, along with staff and consulting firm HNTB, are eager to get all Mint Hill residents involved in panning for the site around the future Bridges at Mint Hill mall. A three day on-site “charrette” will be conducted to produce preliminary plan concepts for the Small Area Plan. The primary purpose of conducting a charrette is to engage all stakeholders in the beginning of the planning process and plan with them. The three day Charrette will be conducted in the Assembly Room at the Town Hall on February 2, 3 and 4.This Charrette will be fully accessible to the public, and will produce preliminary plan concepts for the Small Area Plan. To elicit input from the public, a public review will be held at the end of each day to share the progress and seek feedback.
US Representative Sue Myrick (NC-09) today announced a ‘Conversation with America’ town hall meeting to be held on February 25th at 7:30pm at the Government Center of Charlotte. During this town hall meeting, Rep. Myrick will dialogue with the local Muslim community. The event is free and open to the public.
An information session for nonprofit organizations interested in applying for County grant funding for fiscal year 2011 will take place Monday, February 15, 2010. Staff members from the Mecklenburg County Manager’s Office will host the free session from 10 a.m. to noon in room 267 of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center at 600 E. Fourth St., Charlotte.
