NFL player Mohamed Massaquoi takes time each year to visit CMS schools. Tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 22, 10-11 a.m., the former Independence High athlete will visit Bishop Spaugh Middle School and talk to students in leadership roles and student athletes. He will discuss the importance of getting a quality education, making good choices and how to be an effective leader.
“Mo is grounded and he’s a great person,” said Assistant Principal Jan McIver, who taught Massaquoi at Northeast Middle. “He has a great story to share about how he achieved on and off the field.”
Massaquoi is currently a wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns. He graduated from Independence High School in 2004 and the University of Georgia in 2008. Bishop Spaugh Middle is located at 1901 Herbert Spaugh Lane.
