Matthews Wachovia robbed this morning
The Wachovia Bank on Matthews-Mint Hill Road was robbed at approximately 9:30 am this morning. The suspect fled on foot behind the bowling alley. Matthews police say the suspect is a black male approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and 170 pounds and was last seen wearing black pants, black shirt and a doo-rag. He was carrying gun. Butler High School was briefly on lockdown as a precaution, but is now back to normal.
