Butler soccer ties Weddington, remains unbeaten

Butler soccer played to a 1-1 tie against a young  Weddington team Wednesday. Butler struck first with an unassisted goal from sophomore midfielder Ryan McIntyre in the 11th minute. Weddington would equalize in the 29th minute on a 35 yard blast off the foot of Ben Kern which just made its way under the crossbar.

The second half would turn into a defensive struggle, with each team having multiple chances but neither finding the back of the net. The Bulldog back line of Michael Donovan, Chris Lowman, Stephen Grassel, Andrew Jamison and Dale Earnhardt played an outstanding game along with senior goal keeper Hayden Hopkins who faced a total of 14 shots during the contest.
