Armed robbery at Wendy’s Restaurant in Mint Hill

Mint Hill Police were dispatched to an armed robbery that occured in the Wendy’s Restaurant located at 6849 Matthews-Mint Hill Road on July 3 at 2:30 am. Upon the officers arrival three employees stated they were just robbed at gunpoint by three unknown Hispanic male subjects inside the restaurant. The employees stated that the suspects were all wearing masks and gloves. The employees gave the following description on all three subjects: Suspect 1- Male Hispanic 5’ 00” tall wearing dark clothing and a black mask; Suspect 2- Male Hispanic 5’2” tall wearing white t-shirt/blue jeans and a white mask; Suspect 3- Male subject unknown on any other description. The suspects took money from the restaurant and fled on foot in an unknown direction. Mint Hill Police has no further information at this time. Mint Hill resident wins $30,000 in the lottery

nc_lottery-1In the recent lottery drawing, local Lue Garlick of Mint Hill won $30,000 in the “Super 7′s” scratch-off ticket. Another resident from Arden, Joseph Carroll, won $200,000 in the June 20th Powerball drawing. A total of 31,076 North Carolina Powerball players won prizes in the Wednesday, July 1 Powerball drawing, ranging from $100 to $3 for a total payout in prizes worth $172,740. The jackpot for the Saturday, July 4 Powerball drawing is an estimated $25 million.
