Mint Hill Police report breaking and entering at local church

Mint Hill Police were dispatched Sunday at 9:23 pm to an active alarm at New Beginnings Community Church on Stillwell Road in Mint Hill. Police were advised by telecommunications that the alarm company could hear someone inside the church making a lot of noise. Gov. Perdue announces economic recovery workshop for local representatives, businesses and citizens in Charlotte area

Gov. Bev Perdue today announced that the N.C. Office of Economic Recovery and Investment (OERI) will hold the sixth in a series of workshops across the state providing information and guidance to local municipalities, businesses and interested citizens on how the federal recovery funds will be administered. Matthews to complete work on streets this summer

The Town of Matthews will continue its maintenance on Town streets this summer. The first project includes patching streets in the Heathers subdivision area. McCollum and Associates won the bid to do the work. The bid was $59,200, plus the ability to add additional streets if needed. Yummy! Chick-fil-A offers free milkshake for Father’s Day

All 43 Chick-fil-A restaurants in the greater Charlotte area are offering a free Chick-fil-A Hand-Spun Milkshake to fathers who visit the restaurants with their children on June 20.

Participating cities include Charlotte, Concord, Rock Hill, Fort Mill, Shelby, Gastonia, Matthews, Lancaster, Monroe, Mooresville, Morganton, Huntersville, Salisbury, Statesville and Hickory.
