MHWC members provided donations throughout the year to “Birthday Blessings” (birthday favors for homeless children), pet food to Charlotte Mecklenburg County Care & Animal Control, used books to “Friends of the Mint Hill Library,” stuffed animals to soldiers in Iraq, stuffed animals to Alexander Youth Center, and non-perishable food to Matthews Help Center.
This organization held numerous social gatherings with the largest attendance being the Christmas Social and May installation of new officers dinner.  They have gone on outings to explore local offerings and taken classes together.  Membership has varied since creation of the club in 1975.  To date there are approximately 70 members with the club year being from July 2008 to July 2009.  Anyone seeking information about the Mint Hill Women’s Club should check out web site www.minthillwc or contact Club President, Kathy Cowles (704-545-5354).
