April 17, 2009 (Charlotte, NC) – Want to know one of a book lover’s best kept secrets? The answer is shopping at library book sales for lightly worn, but well-loved books at low prices. Many libraries use book sales as an opportunity to purge their shelves of older materials. Often, donations that were not able to be distributed in the collection are also for sale. All proceeds benefit the Public Library of Charlotte & Mecklenburg County (PLCMC), helping to improve general library offerings.
Book sales are organized by PLCMC and its supporters. The sales listed below are just a sample of what’s to come. Be sure to check out the library events Web page for book sale updates.
