Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools has rescheduled one of the workshops about proposed boundary options for new schools. The first community meeting to discuss boundary options for the new Mint Hill high school and the new Robinson Church Road elementary school will now take place on Monday, March 23 at Independence High School. The meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, March 24, but was moved because the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education is meeting that night.
CMS will open three new elementary schools and two new high schools in the 2010-2011 school year. District staff is holding a series of workshops for parents and community members at locations across the district. During the meetings, staff will provide information about the proposed boundaries and will ask for feedback. There will be two community meetings for each area of the district affected by the new school boundaries. The same information will be presented at each meeting.
