After finishing their season with a second consecutive American Youth Football National Championship, the Youth Football Club of Mint Hill Chargers were recognized again on a National Level by having six players selected to participate in the Under Armour All American game.  The players selected were: Josh Glisson (#22), Riley Ferguson (#4), Malachi Hanes (#80), Sean Wiggins (#41), Spencer Kendall (#44) and Uriah Lemay (#21).  These players were chosen to participate on the AYF East squad.  In addition to the players being selected, YFCMH Head Coach Mike Fairfax was also selected to serve as a coach on the East team.
The AYF/Under Armour All American game was played at the Citrus Bowl on January 4.  The game was played right before the Under Armour High School All American game which is the most prestigious High School All Star event in the country.
After working hard through two a day practices from New Years Day right up to the game, the East team prevailed 20-12.  All 6 of the Mint Hill Chargers played key roles in securing the victory for the East team.
This event was a great way for these young players to finish their youth football careers.  All six of these players will likely attend Butler High School next year and begin their high school careers as Bulldogs.
