Independence High School is giving Teddy bears to hospitalized children. The students and staff of Independence are buying Teddy bears to give to children in the hospital on Valentine’s Day. The Student Council is sponsoring a “Build a Heart” campaign and is collecting money to purchase stuffed Teddy bears for children in the hospital during Valentine’s Day. Each student and teacher is asked to give at least a $1. The Teddy Bears will be made at “Build-A-Bear” at Concord Mills Mall.
Money will be collected during lunches in the mall and may be given to Student Council members. The Teddy Bears will be taken to Levine’s Children Hospital on Valentine’s Day.
