The freshman class at Butler High School will participate at 7:30 am in an anti-bullying assembly Tuesday. The assembly will feature a play, two skits, a video on bullying, and a town-hall meeting discussion of bullying issues. Art students have also created bullying-prevention posters, which are on display in the school.  At Lebanon Road Elementary Tuesday at 8:30 am, representatives from Union Power Cooperative will surprise a Lebanon Road teacher with a check for $2,000. The money will be used to create grade-level gardens to supplement lessons for all Lebanon Road students. The surprise includes a visit and pep rally from Carolina Panthers mascot Sir Purr and Panthers players.
