Pizzas for his daughter before he’s shipped off (again)

In the economic downturn, it’s sometimes easy to forget we still have men and women serving our country in Afghanistan and Iraq. Jason Porter of Mint Hill is one of them. He’s on leave for five days from Afghanistan and is scheduled to go back Friday. Today, he was at Big Guy’s Pizza in Mint Hill buying five pizzas to take to his daughter’s class at Carmel Christian School. With Jordan in the photo is Janet from Big Guy’s. A more than usual number of student/athletes from Butler High School received scholarships this fall forcing the ceremony into the school’s auditorium last Friday.
