This week’s Mint Hill Times

Adam Houston reports the property being cleared at Albemarle and Rocky River Church roads will be a retail development. Barry Rigby, vice president of retail development for Rudolph Libbe Properties said stores could be open as early as summer of 2009. The development is called The Shops at Beaver Falls. A separate residential development is also being constructed adjacent to the property and Blair Road will be extended across Albemarle Road and will connect to Rocky River Church Road.
Tim Long reports on the race for the U.S. House seat for District 9. Sue Myrick has traditionally won big, but Democratic challenger Harry Taylor thinks it’s time for change. […]
