Robbie Tucker, RIP

Independence High School rising senior Robbie Tucker, who was killed Thursday when struck by a car while walking home from a friend’s house, was buried today.

On Friday, two of Robbie’s friends,  Sydney Leibert (left) and Jessica Burkett painted the Big I rock in front of the school to pay tribute.

No Little League World Series for MH this year

Myrtle Grove Optimist bounced Mint Hill little league from the state tournament last night. Team Mint Hill was one game away from going to the Southeast Regional in Gulfport, Fla., and from there a  trip  to Williamsport, Pa. for the Little League World Series.
